A new board game cafe is opening in Vancouver this weekend

If you’ve still got a Storm Crow-shaped hole in your heart from where the iconic nerd bar used to be, we’ve got some good news for you. A brand new ‘board game cafe’ is opening in Vancouver, and you won’t have to wait long before you can check it out.

The queer-owned & operated cafe, named Turquoise Goat, will have a ton of unique & rare games to choose from, including a battle game between woodland creatures. The vibe will follow suit, taking its inspiration from ’80s & ’90s nostalgia, “with a touch of quirkiness and psychedelia,” according to an Instagram post.

The new cafe & hang-out spot will be open from 11 am to 11 pm from Monday to Thursday (except for Tuesday) and will be open late on Fridays and Saturdays (closing at 2 am).
