Toronto’s dazzling Polar Winter Festival is now open & here’s what it looks like (PHOTOS)

A new holiday event has arrived at Exhibition Place! Toronto’s Polar Winter Festival is now open and it’s both an outdoor carnival and a destination for all things merry and bright.

Complete with twinkling tunnels, larger-than-life displays, carnival rides, food trucks, and tons of photo ops, you’ll have plenty to keep you entertained at this walkthrough winter festival. Once you enter, a pathway will guide you around the festival grounds, with plenty of attractions to see along the way.

You’ll want to stop and pose for pictures next to the giant moving teddy bear, the dreamy “polar ice cave,” and inside the illuminated walkways.

A row of vendor huts will take you right to the main concert stage, a.k.a. Santa’s selfie station, all decked out with presents and twinkling trees.

Below the stage is the food market with gourmet eats for sale, crackling fire pits surrounded by Muskoka chairs, and picnic tables with heaters to keep you warm.

Also in the food market area is the X Lounge selling festive cocktails which you can enjoy in the seating area with holiday tunes playing from the stage.

If you’re feeling adventurous, you can take a ride on the Ferris wheel, carousel, or super slide. There’s also plenty of treats to satisfy your sweet tooth, like cotton candy and Beaver Tails.

Most people visit this festival for around 1.5 hours on average, so if you’re still in the mood for holiday cheer by the time you leave, you could head right across the street to the drive-through Snow Magical festival at Ontario Place.

Pretty soon, you can check out another festive street market in Toronto with unlimited rides, glowing light displays, and delicious eats.
