Toronto was basically one giant lineup today (PHOTOS)

It was an interesting day in Toronto, as a couple of major announcements had people out and about all over the city. Lineups ensued, and the culprits happen to be as unrelated as you can imagine — an In-N-Out pop-up that backed up King St West and the search for rapid tests which backed up, well, a LOT of Toronto.

Firstly, yesterday’s announcement of free rapid tests being available at pop-ups around the city had residents scrambling to get their hands on a kit of their own. From transit hubs to malls, Torontonians filled the pop-up locations in droves.

While plenty of folks were able to get their hands on rapid tests, other locations were hit with so many people that their supply ran out almost immediately. CityNews reported that Yorkdale Mall ran out of its 1,000 kits by 11:45 AM, less than two hours after opening, and much earlier than the advertised closing time of 9:00 pm.

As mentioned, these weren’t the only lineups in Toronto. News broke just yesterday that In-N-Out Burger would be opening a pop-up in Toronto today, and once word got out it was quite the scene.

As seen above, Toronto’s In-N-Out pop-up had folks lined up around the block. Running today for only three hours, those who missed it will have to hold out hope we’ll see another (maybe permanent) location soon.
