Toronto’s splash parks open this Saturday & here’s where to find them

Just in time for the hot weather and the long weekend, Toronto’s splash pads are reopening for the season this Saturday, May 21.

The City announced on Friday that all splash and spray pads will be up and running this weekend for people (and dogs!) of all ages to enjoy.

Splash pads are open daily in Toronto and there are dozens upon dozens of them all around the city.

In fact, there’s even a map that allows you to explore all of the splash pads and pools around town.

The map also allows you to plug in your address to find your nearest aquatic amenities, including indoor pools, outdoor pools, and wading pools.

There are splash pads as far north as Newtonbrook in North York, as far west as Pearson Airport in Etobicoke, and as far east as the Toronto Zoo in Scarborough. Not to mention all over the downtown core!

So if you plan on spending the weekend outside this weekend, you’ll have the option to cool off at any one of these splash pads in Toronto.

SplashWorks at Canada’s Wonderland is also gearing up for its season-opening later this month, with a brand new cliff-diving attraction that promises to be super thrilling.

Most of Toronto’s public outdoor pools don’t open for the season until mid-to-late June and you can see the full list of them here.

Until then, you can find your nearest splash or spray park on this map for a refreshing break from the sunshine and heat.

Enjoy the sunshine, Toronto! We’ll see you at the splash park.
