Holiday hours at Toronto malls start this week & here’s what to know

The holiday season is here and that means Christmas shopping is underway. If you’re having trouble finding time in your day to splurge on your holiday gifts then you might want to know this year’s holiday hours in some Toronto malls.

People are shopping earlier this year thanks to Black Friday, deals leading some to plan their gift shopping ahead of time.

“Holiday shopping has started even earlier this year. After the last few years, people are carving out time to be intentional and thoughtful with their gift-giving,” said Lucia Connor, Vice President of Retail Marketing, Oxford Properties. “Timing and preparation will be more important than ever given what we’re already seeing at our shopping centres. Customers are keen to embrace the nostalgia of in-person holiday shopping centre experience and our centres will are featuring engaging Santa experiences for all household members from babies to fur-babies this year.”

That being said, a few Toronto malls will begin its holiday hours starting this week.

For Yorkdale, Scarborough Town Centre, Upper Canada and Hillcrest, holiday hours begin November 25 and until January 1, 2023. Square One will begin its holiday hours starting on December 3 until January 1, 2023

Fairview Mall

Fairview Mall will also start its holiday hours on November 25 – Monday to Saturday from 9:30 AM to 9:30 PM, Sunday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. As for specific dates, this is what you can expect:

  • November 25th (Black Friday) – 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM
  • December 24th (Christmas Eve) – 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • December 25th (Christmas Day) – Closed
  • December 26th (Boxing Day) – 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
  • December 31st (New Year’s Eve) – 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • January 1st (New Year’s Day) – Closed

Toronto Premium Outlets

Toronto Premium Outlets haven’t shared general daily holiday hours but they have shared hours for a few important dates:

  • November 25th (Black Friday) – 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM
  • December 24th (Christmas Eve) – 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • December 25th (Christmas Day) – Closed
  • December 26th (Boxing Day) – 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM
  • December 31st (New Year’s Eve) – 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
  • January 1st (New Year’s Day) – 9:30 AM – 7:00 PM

Toronto Eaton Centre

Toronto’s popular mall for tourists and all will also begin its holiday hours as of November 28. From Monday to Sunday, the Eaton Centre will be open 10:00 AM to 9:30 PM.
  • November 25th (Black Friday) – 7:00 AM to 9:30 PM
  • December 24th (Christmas Eve) – 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • December 25th (Christmas Day) – Closed
  • December 26th (Boxing Day) – 7:00 AM – 9:30 PM
  • December 31st (New Year’s Eve) – 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • January 1st (New Year’s Day) – 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM
