Toronto is in for some seriously brutal heat soon & it’ll feel over 40°C

Stifling summer heat isn’t done with us just yet. Toronto may have enjoyed a refreshing break from the humidity recently, but it’s about to be replaced by another wave of extreme heat. According to The Weather Network’s forecast for the city, temperatures will hover in the upper 20s and low 30s throughout the week, but humidity values will make it feel much warmer outside.

This upcoming Saturday and Sunday will reach a high of 35° C with the humidex, followed by a sizzling 39° C on Monday, August 9th, and 41° C on Tuesday, August 10th.

The rest of the week will slowly see temperatures fall from the upper 20s to just the mid-20s, however, humidex values of 30° C and tons of sunshine are still expected.

“For those who gave up on seeing a stretch of warm & dry weather this summer, this is what you’ve been waiting for,” tweeted Weather Network meteorologist Doug Gilham.

The Weather Network’s summer forecast said many stormy and humid days are on tap for Ontario this season, and so far, it’s pretty spot on.
