Easter long weekend will begin on Good Friday, March 29th, with Easter Sunday on March 31st and Easter Monday on April 1st, 2024.
The Toronto Easter Parade, an annual event, will take place on Easter Sunday, March 31st, starting at 2:00 PM sharp.
The route starts around Neville Park Blvd and Queen Street East and will run along Queen Street and Munro Park Ave, continuing along Queen Street East to Woodbine Avenue.
If you can’t make it to the parade on Sunday, there’s an egg scavenger hunt on Good Friday, March 29th you may be able to attend!
As a part of the family-friendly experience, teams must register to help decipher clues that lead to multiple different locations in Toronto’s beaches neighbourhood.
Once the participants have found the location, they will need to “check-in” using a geo-location feature an app they will be asked to download and then will need to find a hidden decal of “The Fox” trying to steal the Easter Egg Basket (which will contain a unique QR Code).
From there, teams will need to take a photo of “The Fox” to move on.
Each location will have baskets filled with eggs for teams to collect!
When you’ve collected your eggs and photographed “The Fox,” teams will have to answer a question about the Beaches before moving on to solve the next clue, which will take them to their next stop on the walking tour.
The scavenger hunt can be completed on March 29th anytime between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
Teams can be as big or as small as you like and will cost $25 + HST and processing fees per team.
Don’t forget to register your team and pick out your spot to watch the parade. Hoppy Easter, Toronto!
