Toronto Blue Jays tease two new food & drink concepts coming to Rogers Centre

Amid the Rogers Centre redevelopment, the Toronto Blue Jays just keep teasing us on Twitter with more and more updates – this time two new food and drink concepts coming to the stadium.

Earlier this month, the official Blue Jays Twitter account shared construction updates on the current state of the Rogers Centre. The new update highlighted the tireless efforts of construction workers, and it looked like things are flowing nicely.

While nearly 17,000 of the 500-level seats were removed and soon to be replaced before the 2023 season, the Jays are now giving us a look at what to expect besides the seating.

The first tweet shared a sneak peek of the new food destination: “The STOP” which looks eerily similar to that of TTC subway stations – the signage at least. The posted rendering shows vendors lined up almost side by side with colourful murals for that bold touch.

The second tweet displays a walk-up bar and hangout area where it looks like it is located in an open-air space. Per the rendering, fans will have the chance to sit down at the bar, order a glass of wine or an alcoholic beverage of their choice and watch the game on one of the many TVs or by looking over the crowds.

Though it’s not set in stone, these renderings are enough to get us excited for what’s to come.

So far, according to the Jays, about 2.2 million pounds of materials have been recycled including 1.3 million pounds of concrete and 900,000 pounds of steel.

When first announced, the MLB had stated that the renovation will focus on “modernizing the fan experience” and building “world-class” facilities for the players. We can’t wait to see the final results!
