Calling all movie lovers, celeb-spotters and fans of all things hollywood! The annual TIFF Festival Street is back for its ninth year and it officially kicks off this week. For the first four days of TIFF, Festival Street will shut down King Street for free entertainment and activations. Here’s what to know.
Festival Street will stretch along King St from Peter St to University Ave. The four-day celebration is free to attend and will feature food, drinks, and art, along with free open-air screenings and activities in David Pecaut Square.
This year, TIFF says it has partnered with the Toronto Downtown West BIA for a fun Festival Scavenger Hunt with prizes to be won.
Here’s what to expect for TIFF’s Festival Street:
There will be lots to do during the four days of the street festival, let alone the few weeks of TIFF. Here’s a breakdown of the pop-ups and activations you can expect during Festival Street 2024:
TIFF’s Festival Street Art Market in Partnership with Toronto Film School
Expect booths sharing art exhibits, programming information, and more! “Featuring 11 of the city’s most exciting community film festivals and arts organisations including Toronto Film School, Inside Out Film Festival, REEL ASIAN Film Festival, imagineNATIVE, OCAD, Luminato Festival, Regent Park Film Festival, Muse Arts, Toronto Latin American Film Festival, REEL CANADA and Workman Arts,” shares organizers.

Toronto Public Library
There will also be a Toronto Public Library booth where you can enjoy the thrill of reading.
Food Truck Zones
Chow down delicious eats at the food truck zones. Expect a diverse array of cuisines!
The Gold Room by Ferrero Rocher
Festival-goers will have the chance to chill and relaxing in a luxurious space while enjoying a Ferrero Rocher Bar.

Stop by the BEYOND MEAT booth for free samples of New Beyond Steak and some of their other products
OVO x 1 LOVE T.O.
“OVO x 1 LOVE T.O. fosters community unity in Toronto and will be hosting live sessions and merchandise sales in support of the TIFF Every Story Fund,” shares organizers.
