Rules and regulations
The Organizer (“Curiocity Group Inc.” or “Curiocity”) and the Contest Supporter (“Hong Kong Tourism Board” or “HKTB” and their respective parent, related, affiliated and subsidiary companies and their respective officers, directors, agents, employees and assigns will be released and discharged from any and all legal claims, losses, injuries, demands, damages, actions, and/or causes of actions that arise out of and/or in any way related to the Prize, the receipt, use and/or enjoyment of the Prize and/or the Contest.
Curiocity and the HKTB, their affiliates, directors, employees, agents, and consultants (collectively “HKTB”) hereby represent and warrant that the contest conducted / distributed are for their own purposes and are by no means, on behalf of the City of Toronto, nor is this contest endorsed or supported by the City of Toronto. HKTB is an independent contractor who is conducting this contest for its own business purposes to promote, market and collect feedback in relation to its services and products.
The contest is open to all residents of Canada age 18 years and older, with the exception of elected officials and employees of the City of Toronto (the City), and any of the sponsoring companies, or affiliated companies and or media partners. This includes their immediate families, cohabitants, agents or contractors. The contest period is from 7pm on Saturday, October 5, 2024 to 7am on Sunday, October 6, 2024. The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. HKTB reserves the right to cancel the contest or modify these rules at its discretion. No purchase is necessary. Any or all disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts in the City of Toronto and subject to provincial laws of Ontario. Should there be a conflict between the laws of the Province of Ontario and any other laws, the conflict will be resolved in favour of the laws of the Province of Ontario. The social media/online promotion, contest, giveaway or sweepstake is subject to all Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws.
The Prize must be accepted as awarded; no substitutions can be made. The prize is redeemable only by the named winner and must not be sold on to any other party. The Prize cannot be transferred, substituted or exchanged except at the sole discretion of the Contest Supporter (HKTB).
The Prize winner not residing in cities served by the designated airline must find his/her own way to the designated airports in Canada to connect to the flight to Hong Kong, and likewise, find his/her own way to return to his/her home city. Prize winner must have a valid passport for travel and is responsible for obtaining any visas required for himself/herself for any travel applicable in the prize. Travel insurance is not included and must be purchased before travel. Winner is responsible for making sure he/she is adequately insured.
The Organizer (Curiocity) assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alteration of entries. Neither the organizer nor any other person or party associated with this promotion shall be liable for any loss or damage suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss or damage) or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with either participation in this promotion or with any prizes offered. The winner must sign a liability waiver form before accepting the prizes.
By entering this contest, you agree to allow future communications from the Organizer (Curiocity) and the Supporter (HKTB and Cathay Pacific Airways) of this contest. You may however unsubscribe at any time.
All personal information collected during the course of the Contest is subject to the Organizer (Curiocity)’s Privacy Policy, and will be used solely by the Organizer (Curiocity) and the Supporter (HKTB) for the purpose of this contest and future marketing purposes.
