This Ontario town is home to three beaches & breathtaking waterfront views

Full of art, history and natural beauty, there’s a lovely waterfront town in Ontario that’s home to three beaches and breathtaking views. Here’s what to know about Midland, Ontario.

About two hours north of Toronto is the Town of Midland. It is known for having a picturesque harbourfront, culturally significant areas, and landmarks.

It’s the gateway to the famous 30,000 islands!

When you tour the town, you’ll come across some artwork. According to the town’s official site, Midland “recognizes that Public Art enhances the places where we live, work, and play.”

There are over 30 different murals across the town! Midland boasts its colourful wall art and encourages everyone to check it out.

Though the massive cruise ships that dock at its harbour may catch your eye, and of course, its dedication to art, the town also boasts its wonderful beaches.

There are three to enjoy – Little Lake Park Beach, Gawley Park Beach and Pete Pettersen Park Beach.

“Our parks offer beautiful views with paved and natural trails,” shares Town of Midland. “The parks have naturalized areas, formal landscapes, and urban forests. Play on one of our great playground areas. Enjoy lunch at our various picnic areas or covered picnic shelters.”

After your outdoor adventure, why not explore the town’s King Street and check out the vibrant shops filled with books, artwork, decor, and hidden gems.

Stop by for a bite at one of its local pubs, restaurants, and cafes, too!

There’s lots to see and do in Midland so be sure to make a day of it – we definitely will!
