This wild European-inspired home on Bainbridge Island is less pricey than you’d think

We keep thinking that we’ve seen it all when it comes to Washington’s craziest homes but we keep getting proven wrong. This home of the week is unlike anything we’ve ever seen. But with that in mind, it’s exactly what we’d expect from a PNW native who worked for Microsoft in the early days and reads Tolkein in their spare time.

Home of the Week: 1217 Aaron Ave NE

This home is almost immediately identifiable as a 90s home. It has that very villa-esque, dark wood, and marble design that was so prominent in the decade. Apparently, this was considered “European design” and regardless of what it’s called or inspired by, we’re sure that the materials weren’t cheap!

This 120-year-old home for sale in Leschi sits on 10,000 square feet of land

As you can see by the pictures this home is pretty big. In fact, it’s just under 6,000 square feet and has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. Additionally, it also happens to have a MIL apartment, office, gym room and happens to be near a golf course and clubhouse. Of course, it is, what else would you expect with this kind of home?

Now we haven’t mentioned yet but this home is actually on Bainbridge Island which is a very redeeming factor. After all, does it get much better than island living? Well, we’re not actually sure because we’re stuck in the city. But anyway we can assume that getting to live in a small community on an island is pretty dang ideal.

So if you have $1.9 million to drop on your dream island home this might be it. Or you can add this to your list of crazy home inspos. And we’re going to assume this isn’t the craziest one yet so stay tuned for what we find next week. If you’d like to see more you can click here.
