We’ll admit that some of our favourite properties are in southern Alberta. Maybe it’s just us, but we love how the foothills meet the mountains, creating some absolutely incredible scenery. So, when we stumbled across a truly unique property showcasing the best of the area, we knew we had to talk about it. Let’s check out this amazing estate for sale in Pincher Creek.

Given that you get a main house, a guest house, and around 141 acres of land, the $3.3M price point doesn’t seem too ludicrous to us. Between the two homes, you’re looking at just under 10,000 square feet of living space, and that comes with all the amenities you’d hope for.

The main home features 5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, and a professional-grade kitchen as a baseline. But, it also has a pool room, a cedar sauna, an indoor bar and multiple wood-burning fireplaces for cozy nights in. Meanwhile, the guest house has another 2 bedrooms, plus a living room, dining room, office and a loft space.

Now, we’ll be the first to admit that the current owners have pretty eclectic style. Built-in 1980 but redone in 2000, the home screams “we know what we like”. Between the mix of tile and carpet, plus a sort of technicolor approach to the interior paint, we’re tempted to call this home a hybrid of the classic Alberta chalet and some kind of Spanish villa. It’s weird, but somehow, it works.

And, that eclectic style continues with the exterior of the house. Just steps away from the courtyard, you’ll find a pretty authentic Japanese garden complete with both rock and water features. Fun fact here- those are the two main elements of a classic Japanese garden, along with a rock “tōrō” (lantern), which is also present.

Of course, we think it’s a missed opportunity to have 141 acres of land and only use like an acre of it. So, our advice to the new owners? Get a barn in there ASAP, because you’re now in the horse tours business! Cruise the countryside with friends and family, take a trip to Lundbreck Falls, or start your own equine therapy company and just chill in their presence.
