This new Toronto pop-up lets you pay for sweet treats just by posting pictures

There’s a new pop-up shop in town and you won’t need your wallet to pay for the goodies they sell. Ontario’s first “post-to-pay” shop only accepts social media posts as payment, so you’ll get to walk away with desserts and limited-edition gear without doing any damage to your bank account. Crazy? Genius? We’re going with both.

Here’s how it works — browse the selection of items at the pop-up, which includes limited-edition ice cream, iced coffee, glazed doughnuts, mini cakes, jewelry, and custom pressies, all made by local vendors.

Pick your favourites and then comes the fun part, which is posting your treasures on social media. Then head off into the sunset with your freebies and live happily ever after.

The pop-up opened yesterday and will only run from Thursday to Saturday for the next few weeks, until October 9th. The shop will stay open while quantities last and until all the goods are sold out, so you better show up bright and early when it opens at 11 a.m. if you want first dibs.

You’ll find the shop right at the corner of Bathurst St and Queen St West, and you can mosey your way over to Toronto’s new NSFW waffle joint and wash down your free iced coffee with a head-turning treat. Maybe you’ll want to post a photo of that on social media too — we won’t judge!
