This massive Fraser Valley tulip fest is moving to the Okanagan

After four years of operation, the beloved Bloom Tulip Festival in Abbotsford announced today that it would be moving to the Northern Okanagan. The news came via press release on the Bloom website, here’s a quick rundown.

Originally opening in 2016, the Bloom Tulip Fest saw millions of tulips bloom each year, transforming the farm into a multicolour wonderland. Naturally, this proved to be very popular, with hundreds of thousands of visitors stopping by during the 6 weeks it was open.

However, the owner of the property (and the person behind the tulip festival), sold the land earlier this year. And, instead of staying in Abbotsford, they’ve decided to try and start over in the North Okanagan region. Who knows, maybe the new owners will keep the tulip farm operational!

While we’re sad to see them go, there are some others still around, like the one in Chilliwack. With any luck, we’ll be able to return to that one this summer! Fingers crossed, folks!
