They’re environment-friendly. They’re quick. They’re quiet. They’re portable. They’re cost-effective. They’re easy to maintain. They’re perfect for all those distances that are too short to drive yet too far to walk. And you wonder why personal electric vehicles (PEVs) are having such a major moment right now? These convenient little things have been steadily filling up the streets of Vancouver since they were legalized in May.
To jog your memory a bit, Vancouver is one of the 6 municipalities – others being North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Richmond, Vernon, and Kelowna – in the province to have legalized eScooters as part of the government’s 3-year pilot program.
Now, if you’re ready to jump on to the PEV bandwagon and join the rest of us on the streets, we have just the place for you to begin – eevee’s. As it happens, it has become the hot spot for PEV purchases in town, and for good reasonz (yes, with a z).
Started by young entrepreneurs and PEV connoisseurs, eevee’s is Vancouver’s first dedicated PEV store with vehicles to match the needs of every shape and size, from EUCs to eScooters to eSkateboards to Onewheels to that of related accessories. This is why it is frequented by PEV veterans and novices alike. While pro users can get their hands on the latest available models and accessories, novices like us can view, understand and demo available choices; mind you, there are many.
Adding to their well-deserved popularity is the free lessons they offer every Sunday to make sure you can safely and comfortably move around town on your sleek, new ride.
Oh, and when you’re at the store, we recommend taking in the zesty vibe and appreciating the cool wall doodle. Also, if you aren’t already rushing to the store right this minute, check out the eevee’s website here.
