This handy site lists Alberta restos & gyms that have adopted the vaccine passport system

Alberta has seen some major changes over the last few weeks – the biggest one being that after much discussion, the province has decided to instate a new COVID vaccine passport system that will give various venues from music halls and restaurants the right to ask that all guest be immunized ahead of entering.

Of course, no matter what side of the vaccine debate that you’re on, it’s important to know which establishments have and have not chosen to adopt the exemption strategy. Afterall, although requesting proof is now recommended in the province of Alberta, not every business owner NEEDS to enforce this.

Whether you aren’t vaccinated and can’t visit a certain eatery or are vaccinated but feel safer in environments that require POV – the folks behind this page have created an extensive (and growing) list that helps patrons determine where they should grab a bite or pump some iron.

Now, obviously, because particular website has grown so much, we cannot list all participating locations but you can check it out here.

Each destination has not only been updated with the information mentioned above, it also discloses whether or not the staff has been immunized AND where the information came from.

If in the event that your favorite restaurant is listed as not having put the initiative into place, please refer to Alberta’s new (but familiar) COVID measures, as they will need to abide by them in order to stay open.

These measures state that:

• Indoor dining is not permitted.
• Outdoor dining only with a maximum of 6 people per table (one household or 2 close contacts for those living alone)
• Liquor sales and consumption restrictions apply (sales end at 10pm, consumption by 11pm)
