The holiday markets are starting, and the weekend is almost here – what a combo, am I right? The next few days are going to be festive and fun, meaning you need to start planning out what you want to see and do ASAP. I’m here to help make that a reality. These are the best things to do this weekend in Toronto; it’s going to be a good one.
The highly anticipated Distillery Winter Village opens for the season today, Nov. 13, which means you can check it out over the weekend.
This is my favourite thing to do during the holidays, and going earlier in the season usually means fewer crowds.
Get ready to sip on warm drinks, shop, and get into the holiday spirit!
When: Friday, Nov. 14 to Sunday, Nov. 16 (open for the season until Jan. 4, 2026)
Where: The Distillery District – 55 Mill St.
Cost: $15 admission
Another holiday market — woot woot! This one is at the iconic Stackt Market.
Holiday Hills will include “larger-than-life installations, themed cocktail bars, and picture-perfect scenes to spark joy, curiosity, and that holiday spirit.” A perfect place to spend date night with a loved one or friends.
When: Friday, Nov. 14 to Sunday, Nov. 16 (open for the season until Dec. 28, 2025)
Where: Stackt Market – 28 Bathurst. St.
Cost: Free admission
Toronto’s most beloved Christmas-themed bar is back with a lineup of themed cocktails and decor so festive it feels like a warm hug.
Grab your pals, throw on some holiday sweaters, and have the best time.
When: Friday, Nov. 14 to Sunday, Nov. 16 (open for the season Thursdays through Sundays until Dec. 28, 2025)
Where: 875 Bloor St. W.
Cost: Varies (no admission fee)
The National Ballet of Canada’s production of The Winter’s Tale will run its first show on Friday.
There are shows each day this weekend, with tickets starting at $56.
When: Friday, Nov. 14 to Sunday, Nov. 16 (shows running until Nov. 21, 2025)
Where: Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts – 145 Queen St. W.
Cost: $56+ per person
How does another holiday market sound? SOUNDS GOOD TO ME.
The Well is putting on a free outdoor market this year, described as a “Nordic-inspired winter experience.” Guests can enjoy vendors, public skating, pop-up food experiences, and more.
When: Friday, Nov. 14 to Sunday, Nov. 16 (open for the season Wednesdays through Sundays until Dec. 29, 2025)
Where: The Well – 486 Front St. W.
Cost: Free admission
It’s the final weekend of the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, and you won’t want to miss it.
Enjoy the best in local food and animal entertainment all weekend long.
When: Friday, Nov. 14 to Sunday, Nov. 16
Where: Exhibition Place – 100 Princes’ Blvd.
Cost: $37+ per ticket
A little live music to shake up attending all those holiday markets?
The Strumbellas are playing at History, and tickets are under $60.
When: Friday, Nov. 14
Time: 7 p.m.
Where: History – 1663 Queen St. E.
Cost: $53.25+ per ticket
Even the zoo is getting into the holiday spirit.
This weekend, on Saturday and Sunday, the Toronto Zoo is putting on a holiday market with tons of vendors. The market entry is included with general admission.
When: Saturday, Nov. 15 and Sunday, Nov. 16
Time: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Toronto Zoo – 2000 Meadowvale Rd.
Cost: $27+ per person
Since this is a rescheduled show from August, tickets are only available through resale. However, if you’re a big fan, you’ll want to snag some.
Who doesn’t want to scream Silver Springs on a Saturday night?!
When: Saturday, Nov. 15
Time: 7 p.m.
Where: Scotiabank Arena – 40 Bay St.
Cost: $271+ per resale ticket
Toronto’s east end is getting a visit from Santa.
The Beaches Santa Claus Parade runs this Sunday, starting at Kingston and Victoria Park, and finishing at 97 Main St. for a post-parade party.
When: Sunday, Nov. 16
Time: 1 to 6 p.m.
Where: Starting at Kingston Road and Victoria Park
Cost: Free
