We’ve rounded up some of the best things to do this weekend in Edmonton. There are so many markets, you won’t get enough of them! Don’t worry, though, there’s plenty of other great events happening this weekend which you can be a part of.

There’s no question that Edmonton has some of the best escape rooms. We’ve rounded up the best of them in a list for you to check out as a family, and maybe, just maybe, you might be able to escape.

We’ve rounded up some of the best hikes and trails in and around Edmonton. Whether you’re a beginner, a seasoned hiker, or just a casual trail lurker, we’ve got something for everyone. These trails are also good in the summer and for year-round walking, but we recommend them this time of year.

Cost: Free
This year-round market is home to over 120 different vendors, and more than 80 per cent of those vendors are local, who make, bake, and grow their own products. It offers so much more than you could ever imagine, so you’ll just have to check it out yourself.
When: Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday

Oddbird Art and Craft Fair is Edmonton’s “newest and chirpiest” arts and crafts fair, having been established in 2024. This season, it has its spring fair coming up at the beginning of May. This market is crashing right in Old Strathcona, taking over the heart of Edmonton.
When: Friday, May 8, 2026, to Sunday, May 10, 2026
Time: 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday
Where: 8426 Gateway Blvd., Edmonton, Alta.

This market in Old Strathcona has been around for ages, and it’s Edmonton’s most premier farmers market. Being the original year-rounder, this place offers the best locally grown and made goods as well as trinkets you won’t be able to find anywhere else.
When: Every Saturday and Sunday
Time: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays
Where: 10310 83rd Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: Free
Queen Mary’s Market is located in the heart of Edmonton and offers over 130 vendors, as well as five individual restaurants within the building. This market takes on strong local vendors with a selection of antiques, rare collectibles, local produce, artisanal goods, and services.

Time: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays

With fresh matcha, mini-tattoos, and over 20 vendors for you to browse through, Posh Market’s newest pop-up will be one for you and the special woman in your life (your mother, of course).
When: Saturday, May 9, 2026, and Sunday, May 10, 2026
Time: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday
Where: Southgate Centre — 5015 111th St. NW, Edmonton, Alta.

For one day only, this pop-up vintage wear market will be even bigger and better, with over 55 vendors taking over Edmonton’s City Centre. Not only will there be clothing vendors, but there’s also music, food, a photobooth, and so much more for you to enjoy.
When: Saturday, May 9, 2026
Time: Noon to 6 p.m.
Where: Edmonton City Centre Mall — 10025 102A Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alta.

Local artist GABS will be holding a workshop where you’ll be creating your own Jack Rabbit lantern. Throughout this process, you’ll learn more about the lantern-making process, get a crash course in electronics, and end the class with your very own illuminated lantern.
