On Feb. 20, 2026, Central Library will close its doors to the public and transform into the ultimate escape room, spanning all four floors.
The event promises a “brain-ticklin’, sneaker-shufflin trek” through the library, where participants will work on puzzles and challenges hidden throughout the building.

It’s the Year of the Horse, and it’s time to get excited about it! The Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre is inviting the city to come celebrate the Chinese New Year on Feb. 21 and 22, 2026, with free admission and a ton of festivities.

This special winter event at both Calgary Farmers’ Market locations will bring together top ice carvers to compete in a weekend-long competition. Drop by Friday for a sneak peek of the ice block setup, and enjoy the main event Saturday and Sunday! Guests are invited to check out incredible ice sculptures and live carving while enjoying the outdoor fire pits, live music, s’mores and maple taffy, and market vendor specials both days!

Let it Be Beatles gives a look at the journey of the Beatles on their journey to fame, put on by Jubilations Dinner Theatre.

Happening all February, East End Cold Spell brings a long list of “iconic” events to The Confluence Historic Site & Parkland.

According to Tourism Calgary, National Aviation Day is celebrated annually on February 23. It marks the anniversary of Canada’s first powered flight by the Silver Dart. This upcoming weekend, the Hangar Flight Museum will celebrate National Aviation Day with a full weekend of family-friendly programming. Tickets are still on sale!

Calgarians are invited to YYC Hot Chocolate Fest, where participating spots in the city can be ranked by locals to determine the cup of hot chocolate that rules them all.

The annual Penguin Walk has returned to the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo, and you can see them march at 10:30 a.m. daily.
