Can you believe it’s already the first day of fall this weekend?! In Vancouver, that means sending off summer at the annual Shipyards Festival, checking out a final outdoor concert at the Malkin Bowl, and ushering in fall with the Renfrew Ravine Moon Festival. A free all-day, multi-stage festival is coming to the Shipyards this weekend that you won’t want to miss. Live music, beer garden, pop-up market, family activities – we can’t think of a better summer sendoff!

Get ready to ring in the new season with a ton of handcrafted gifts, pottery, jewelry, fall decor, and more – by over 90 local makers and artists. The Vancouver Etsy Co. fall pop-up market is back from 10 am to 5 pm this Saturday, September 21st at Robson Square.

On Friday, September 20th from 9:30 to 5 pm, you can enjoy free admission to Science World as part of the Tech-Up Showcase, presented by Amazon Future Engineer. The event will feature a full day of special programming for families looking for hands-on science and tech activities. This includes live music by Indigenous hip-hop artist Dakota Bear, and coding and robotics workshops.
Note that entrance is free on a first-come-first-serve basis!

The Main Day of the 2024 Renfrew Ravine Moon Fest is here! Festival-goers start with an afternoon of performances and activities at Slocan Park, including lantern-making for the upcoming parade. To follow, there’s a Harvest Fair from 4 to 7 pm and a Twilight Lantern Procession, which starts at Slocan Park and ends at Renfrew Community Park.
Participants may also choose to walk the Renfrew Ravine labyrinth and enjoy live music by the Tanglewood Duo!

Port Day is just around the corner! Hosted by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, this free family-friendly event celebrates the local maritime community at the Port of Vancouver. Enjoy live music and performances, food vendors, activities for all ages, exhibits and displays, all happening at Canada Place on Saturday, September 21. The headline act will be Delhi 2 Dublin, a Canadian world music group from Vancouver known for their unique blend of Bhangra, electronic, funk, dub, reggae, hip hop, Celtic music, and more.

This year’s Steveston Beer Fest will take place at The Gulf of Georgia Cannery with over 100 different brews to try from across BC, as well as some savoury treats and sweet bites from local restaurants.
