Starting November 1st, Presentation House Theatre in North Van is co-presenting a series of events with Blackout Art Society as part of the 4th annual STAND Festival, which celebrates emerging immigrant and refugee performing artists. The festival aims to offer the chance to connect newcomer artists with the community so they may share their stories.
When: Friday, November 1st to Sunday, November 17th

It’s the 65th season of the Vancouver Opera, and right now, you can check out a dazzling production of Johann Strauss II’s Die Fledermaus – a story filled with wit, charm, and unforgettable melodies. There are shows scheduled for 7:30 pm on October 31st, November 1st, and November 2nd, so grab your tickets sooner rather than later!

Reservations are now available for this year’s Winterlust dome dining experience at H Tasting Lounge, which boasts heated interiors and panoramic views of the city. Up to six guests can indulge in a feast of tableside-flamed mains and inventive sides and sips.

Enter Shikari is a British rock band comprised of bassist Chris Batten, lead vocalist and keyboardist Rou Reynolds, guitarist Rory Clewlow, and drummer Rob Rolfe, who are taking the stage at the Commodore this Saturday, November 2nd.

This one’s for charcuterie board lovers! This year’s Vancouver Cheese and Meat Fest is back at the Shipyards with an array of tasty local artisanal bites and bevies to sample.

On Friday, November 3rd, Soumak Boutique is hosting a pop-up Turkish/Syrian cafe at the Kids Market on Granville Island, where visitors can drink authentic Turkish coffee made on hot sand, traditional tea, and play board games together.

Saskatchewan-based bluegrass ensemble The Dead South is going on a world tour and stopping in Vancouver this weekend.

Right now, you can check out “Betrayers” at the Improv Centre on Fridays and Saturdays until November 2nd, as well as a ton of regular weekly shows, including TheatreSports, Date Night Wednesdays, Blockbuster Thursdays, Stand-up (November 3rd), and the upcoming 12th-year edition of Improv Against Humanity (November 16th).
