Happy almost weekend, Vancouver! It’s time to treat yourself to a disco night, hockey game, or concert, and celebrate all the women in your life on International Women’s Day (Friday, March 8th). So with that in mind, here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this weekend (March 8-10).
Known professionally as Nicky Romero or Monocule – this Dutch DJ and remixer has worked with everyone from Tiësto to David Guetta, to Avicii, and has certainly carved his own path in the industry. Get ready for familiar tunes, magnetic energy, and tons of dancing.

This American pop-rock band is from LA, but was formed in Nashville in 2014, consisting of members Paul Jason Klein, Jake Clifford Goss, and Leslie Priest. Since the band’s inception, they’ve put out three ‘top 5’ albums: “LANY,” “Malibu Nights,” and “Mama’s Boy.”

French flavour is coming to Vancouver! Petrichor Social is a new Mediterranean restaurant in Gastown inspired by the owner’s hometown of Montpellier in the South of France. Petrichor captures the vibe of private beaches and patio gardens with a bohemian ambiance and fresh bites complemented by craft cocktails and local beers and wines. It’s a perfect space to gather, socialize, and stay a while.

Birdies Charcoal Grill has made their name known for its beer-brined chicken, Peruvian marinades, eclectic side dishes and world-travelled chicken sauces.
