We’ve got an exciting week ahead of us, Vancouver! Celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day, drinking our way through the East Side Beer Fest, and several exciting concerts all await. So without further ado, here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this week (March 13-17).
Spring is just around the corner, as is Saint Patrick’s Day, which means it’s time to dig out your green clothes and accessories from your closet soon. So with that in mind, here are 6 exciting Saint Patrick’s Day events happening in Vancouver – from this year’s CelticFest to a Saint Patrick’s Day pub crawl.

Speaking of, mark your calendars for Friday, March 17th and Saturday, March 18th if you want to take advantage of the special weekend festival at the Vancouver Art Gallery during this year’s CelticFest. Live Irish music, flowing beers, and fantastic company? Sounds like an ideal recipe if you ask us!

The Greater Vancouver Food Bank (GVFB) presents the 9th annual East Side Beer Fest & tasting event on Wednesday, March 11th from 7 to 9 pm. Tickets are just under $30 and they’re all-inclusive – meaning guests get access to all the participating craft beers of the event.

The BC Home + Garden Show returns with locally- and nationally-recognized industry professionals that have an incredible depth of expertise to help Lower Mainlanders jumpstart any home and garden project on their roster this spring.
With a main stage for industry pros to lend their expertise and advice to a cooking stage for some of the city’s most respected chefs to present live cooking demos, there’s something for everyone at the show. You can view the official stage schedules & lineups here.

For a highly-anticipated EDM concert that requires some solid dancing shoes, check out Nicky Romero’s set at the Harbour Events Centre on Friday, March 17th. Doors open at 10 pm.

The Fictionals will be performing at The Improv Centre on Granville Island on Wednesday, March 15th for their annual Ladies Against Humanity special. Cards Against Humanity in real life with some of the most talented female-identifying comedians around? That requires no convincing on our part.

Thankfully for our wallets, there are plenty of museums and art galleries in Vancouver offering free admission to their exhibits year-round. And while the list is by no means complete, we think this is a solid place to start if you’re looking to get into the local art scene.

Now that we’ve got an extra hour of daylight, we’re personally hoping to start biking more often. Fortunately, the 24-Hour Pass by Mobi gives you access to e-bikes for 25¢/min for the first 30 minutes and 35¢/min thereafter.
