Craving a little peace and quiet? If you’re planning a Valentine’s, Galentine’s, or a solo weekend, you can’t get any more relaxing than a visit to the Cowichan region. This stunning string of communities on Vancouver Island is awash with old-growth forests, farm-to-table restaurants, boutique shopping, and a coastline that stretches for eternity. Take a wine tour, try out the cuisine, or enjoy a taste of the local art and culture. What better way to check out for a few days?
Chocolate lovers likely need no reminder that Vancouver’s beloved Hot Chocolate Fest is in full swing, but we’ll give one anyway. Hot chocolate enthusiasts have until February 14th to check out over 100 new specialty cups of cocoa at dozens of participating cafes and bakeries – and it’s certainly way cheaper than a night out!

Just For Laughs is Western Canada’s largest comedy festival, and every year, the organizers bring their A-game when it comes to creating the perfect lineup of talent. This year? They’ve gone above and beyond – casting everyone from Bill Burr to Ronny Chieng, to Bob the Drag Queen.

Winter Arts Festival transcends boundaries, taking art beyond gallery walls and into the heart of urban environments, infusing city spaces with the magic of sculptures, projection mapping, augmented reality (AR), and live performances.
The 2024 festival is taking place in Vancouver and Victoria this February, and it will feature a ton of public art, live performances, pop-up dance parties, and more – all by a variety of local artists.
