A new week has rolled around, kicking off February with a slew of fun tasting events, local theatre, and a Valentine’s-themed light display. With that in mind, here are 10 of the best things to do in Vancouver this week (Feb. 2-6).
The Third Annual Chinatown Cocktail Showdown is this week, and cocktail connoisseurs won’t want to miss it. The event brings together eight of Chinatown’s most iconic bars and restaurants for special Lunar New Year-inspired sips, including Bagheera, Bao Bei, Chickadee, Fiorino, Keefer Bar, Kissa Tanto, Laowai, and Meo.

The Donn of Tiki is a documentary about Donn Beach, also known as Don the Beachcomber, the creator of the tiki bar. He was also known as a maverick, constantly creating his own opportunities and reinventing himself.
For one night only, Vancouver’s Shameful Tiki Room is taking over the Rio during the screening of the film, allowing movie-goers to enjoy curated cocktails and event-themed drink specials all night long.

B.C.’s iconic chowder competition has transformed into a new event called the Chowder Cup, which celebrates the best of B.C.’s local seafood, craft beer, and cider. This Thursday, you can enjoy chowder made by top chefs accompanied by complementary craft beverage pairings.

The Commodore is hosting Colin James, an iconic blues musician known for his ’90s album, Colin James and the Little Big Band. If you’re looking to familiarize yourself with more Canadian artists, this is a great concert to check out.

Canada’s largest food and drink festival is nearly back, and there are hundreds of participating restaurants to choose from this year. The festival showcases curated, fixed-price menus spanning everything from inventive seafood plates to vegan fare, to a dumpling festival. The festival is a great way to check out a new dining hot spot or place you’ve had your eye on for a while without breaking the bank.

Founded over two decades ago, B.C.’s signature cultural event (PuSh) is a mid-winter celebration of all things bold and creative. The showcase brings together local, national, and international artists alike for a series of immersive shows and workshops, and there are all kinds of mediums and subject matters to explore.
Ticket prices vary per show, but you can snag a four or six-show pass to take advantage of any handful that catch your eye.

Hosted by Alliance Française Vancouver, this comedic theatrical production explores the age-old question of what defines “good” French, as there are so many different dialects that claim to be the best. In the show, two Acadians from southeastern New Brunswick (Bianca Richard and Gabriel Robichaud) confront the social stigma of being a “bad fanciophone.”

This upcoming art show at One More Life Gallery on Main is a group exhibition by local Asian artists, who celebrate their culture, arts, heritage, and creativity through their combined works.

The iconic Capilano Suspension Bridge is transforming for Valentine’s Day, with whimsical, romantic lights and decor through Feb. 22, 2026. Love Lights is the perfect backdrop for date night, but it can just as easily be a cute Galentine’s Day excursion or family outing.

Vancouver’s beloved Hot Chocolate Fest is back this January, and you’ll have almost a month to try warm, decadent sips at cafes and bakeries across Metro Vancouver. This year, there are 234 different flavours and 100 vendors to choose from.
