10 things to do in and around Edmonton this week (November 6-10)

Well, we did it, Edmonton. We ‘fell back’ in time, and just like that, it’s really fall now. Or pre-winter. Either way, November is in full swing. If you are looking for some fun as the days get darker, there are a bunch of concerts in the city this week, along with and Indigenous Holiday Market, and a wayback playback documentary. Here are the best things to do in and around Edmonton this week!

299 Queen Street West

Ready to relive your MuchMusic days? The Edmonton premiere of the documentary “299 Quest Street West” is town this week, showing some MuchMusic archives, and features some iconic MuchMusic VJ’s.

Food Rescue FUN-raiser

The Food Rescue FUN-raiser is a casual, reception style event focused “on bringing the community together for a fun evening of food, drinks, a silent auction, and raised awareness of the importance of rescuing food.” All funds raised will support the continuation of our rescue food operations.

Retire Netflix for an evening and try a fun night out at the theatre instead! Citadel Theatre’s Little Shop of Horrors is the perfect blend of comedy, music, and just a hint of fall-appropriate spookiness. This sci-fi musical comedy tells the story of a meek floral shop assistant who stumbles across a strange new plant that causes business to boom. But this plant has a sinister edge, and when it starts to promise fame and fortune, it also develops a vampiric thirst for human blood! This story is one of the theatre company’s longest-running Off-Broadway shows and is set to an upbeat 60s-inspired pop/rock score for a fun night out streaming services can’t beat.

Two of Canada’s most dynamic country music artists and award-winning, chart-topping entertainers, Paul Brandt and Terri Clark are co-headlining “Homecoming ’23 Tour” and it is in Edmonton this week!

The iconic rock band KISS is set to bring their highly anticipated “The End of the Road Tour” to Edmonton on Friday.

A very Indigenous Holiday Market ka mekwâ nîpâyamihahk ᑲ ᒣᑳᐧ ᓃᐹᔭᒥᐦᐊᕁ – Christmas Time

IAM Collective is hosting a very Indigenous Holiday Market for three days starting on Friday. Expect free admission, over 80 Indigenous vendors, live entertainment, and free prize draws.

The all-time great rock legend, Elton John, has had many hits that you probably still sing to. Check out the story of The Rocket Man, but with the Jubilations Dinner Theatre twist! You can expect a three-course dinner with your musical comedy this Friday.
