10 things to do in and around Edmonton this week (January 30- February 3)

And just like that, it’s almost February! But there are still a few days left in January. Take advantage of some of the best winter events this week, here are the best things to do in Edmonton!

BLACK HISTORY MONTH OPENING CEREMONY 

February is Black History Month. To kick it off, The Black History Month opening ceremony will take place at City Hall. It is a collaborative effort with the National Black Coalition of Canada and Norquest College. The theme is Black Led Individuals/Community/Unity in Building. This is one of MacEwan University’s Black History Month events.

LA POUTINE WEEK

Canada’s largest poutine festival, La Poutine Week is back! Poutine lovers will have the chance to indulge in new and exciting creations, and one-of-a-kind flavours all while supporting local restaurants.

EDMONTON CHINATOWN DINING WEEK

Starting on January 26th, businesses around the city will be participating in Edmonton’s Chinatown Dining Week and will be offering $20 or $10 specials. Of note, offers are valid for dine-in only during certain hours, pick-up only, or both!

GO SKATING

The ice rinks are calling, and we must go! From small and lesser-known spots to some of the most popular skating areas around, Edmonton is full of incredible options, and we’re going to make the most of them every chance we get!
