It won’t be long now! From live performances and markets to fireworks and more, July 1st will bring a ton of family-friendly events to exciting venues and parks all over the city. Not sure where to go or when? Here are 7 things to do on Canada Day in Edmonton this year!
For a number of performances, food trucks, carnival games and fireworks, head to Mill Woods Park this month! Here the whole family is in for a day of fun, sun and celebration – plus it’s FREE!

Head down to ICE District Plaza for a massive Canada Day celebration on July 1st. There will be drop-in basketball, pickleball and street hockey for everyone to participate in. There will also be music, games, inflatables, photo booths, face painting, and performers for all ages.

Start off the month right, with some Canada Day fireworks! The city’s fireworks will light up the sky over Edmonton’s River Valley at 11 pm. The fireworks will also be live-streamed for anyone who would like to watch from home.
