Alright, Edmonton. We made it through another week, and a new weekend is upon us. It is also the last weekend in September, so be sure to get out and make the most of it! From film and comedy festivals to a night market and spooky experiences, here are 10 things to do in and around Edmonton this weekend!

Edmonton Comedy Festival

Enjoy a weekend of funny at venues around the city during the Edmonton Comedy Festival! The festival will feature comedians from across North America performing on stages throughout Edmonton.

Edmonton International Film Festival

The 38th Edmonton International Film Festival (EIFF) returns with 10 days of exciting events. You can expect filmmaker chats, Q&A’s, gala screenings, a local filmmaker spotlight, ‘buzzy’ films that are travelling the festival circuit, shorts with lunch, and more.

When:  Thursday, September 26th to October 5th, 2024

The Grand Night Market

The Grand Night Market is a “one-of-a-kind, hyper-curated evening market for adults and families.” Taking place on Friday evening, it is also located next to some awesome local businesses along Happy Beer Street – located on 78 Avenue between 99 and 100 Street. It is their final market of 2024!

Come From Away

For a limited time, Broadway Across Canada is presenting Broadway’s Come From Away in Edmonton. This “true story of the small town that welcomed the world” has won Best Musical all across North America! From our own personal experience, we highly recommend getting tickets to this one!

Oktoberfest

Canada’s largest Oktoberfest celebration is taking over Fan Park @ ICE District and you still have a few days to check it out! Pumpkins After Dark 2024

Start your Halloween early with Pumpkins After Dark this weekend! This iconic display returns to Edmonton and will be here for over an entire month. Enjoy thousands of hand-carved pumpkins in a beautiful, insta-worthy setting.

7 Paintings Dining Experience Edmonton
