These stunning falls are one of the most underrated spots in Alberta

Just because summer is nearing its end doesn’t mean that the season of exploring is done. In fact, with the sun still in the sky and fall just around the corner, this is the perfect time to find some new favourite spots. That’s exactly why we’re highlighting the gorgeous Lundbreck Falls, sitting just over 2 hours south of Calgary.

If you’re looking for a day trip option but want to switch things up from going to the mountains, then this Crowsnest beauty is the spot for you. With an observation deck and a rocky beach area that allows you to see the falls up close, this is a nature lover’s dream.

Now, not only does Lundbreck Falls photograph incredibly well, but it’s also super easy to get to. If you’re leaving Calgary, all you have to do is drive south down Highway 2 then hit up Highway 3 (Crowsnest Highway) and then find the falls on your right side about 15 mins before Frank.

Or, if you’re looking for a more scenic route, hop onto Highway 22 (Cowboy Trail) and you’ll hit this right after connecting to Highway 3. Either way, this one should be at the top of your fall adventures list.

Oh, one more thing! The falls are gorgeous at any time of the year. So, if you don’t get out there before things cool down for winter, don’t stress! You’ll be able to see Lundbreck Falls in their icy glory all winter long.
