These are the best companies to work for in Canada as ranked by employees

Feeling good about your job? Heck, you might already be at one of the best places to work in Canada for 2021! The employment website Glassdoor has released its roundup of Canada’s best employers for the year. Let’s see who came out on top!

Basically, Glassdoor has rounded up all the employee reviews for companies with over 1,000 employees in Canada. So, don’t be upset if that local mom-and-pop restaurant with the lovely, happy servers doesn’t make the cut. We’re sure it’s a great place to work, but this is more for the big boy names.

Here are the top 10 places to work in Canada for 2021:

1. Google- 4.5 (out of 5)
2. Microsoft- 4.4
3. TC Energy- 4.4
4. Apple- 4.4
5. belairdirect- 4.4
6. Sage- 4.3
7. lululemon- 4.3
8. SAP- 4.3
9. Manpower- 4.3
10. Salesforce- 4.3

Perhaps unsurprisingly, big names in tech tended to dominate, with Apple, Google and Microsoft all landing in the top 5. However, we were a little startled to see that Shopify didn’t make the cut this year. But, Vancouver’s lululemon, Toronto’s belairdirect and Calgary’s TC Energy were all included on the list.

Plus, The Keg, Vancouver Coastal Health, and TD Bank all had rankings of 4.3. So, we’re thinking that they lost out since they had fewer employees overall.
