One of the best things to do during the holiday season is to throw on a festive playlist and go on a cruise to see Christmas displays in Toronto.
But, there are a few homes in this city that are worth getting out of your car for a closer look and definitely some pictures. In fact, these houses are known for bringing their A-game every year and this holiday season is no different!
Here are some of the wildest over-the-top Christmas homes you’ll find in Toronto and the GTA.
Located just south of Dundas West near Dufferin Street, the owners of this home go all-out with their displays every holiday season.
This year, the D’Elia family has brought back all of their twinkling lawn ornaments and lights which you can check out on your way to Window Wonderland in The Junction.
Where: 188 Brock Avenue, Toronto
These two Scarborough homes do it up big for both Halloween and Christmas. The duo, known as Decorate Brenyon Way, encourages visitors to donate to the organizations listed on their website.
This year’s display is as over-the-top as ever, with both lawns transformed into epic festive wonderlands for the holidays.
Where: 226 & 228 Brenyon Way, Scarborough
This might be the most over-the-top Christmas house in the city. Located near Keele St and Sheppard Ave West, the DeSario family home draws crowds every year for its wildly colourful and bright holiday display.
This is the 23rd year that the family has raised money for SickKids through their Christmas display, collecting over $250,000 to date. The home will be illuminated every evening from December 1st, 2022 to January 6th, 2023.

Every holiday season since 2015, this Burlington home transforms into an “animated gingerbread house” inspired by the 1989 Christmas movie National Lampoon’s Vacation. You’ll be able to watch the dazzling light show from the warmth of your car, accompanied by festive tunes on the radio.
The lights will be on display every night starting on November 25th, 2022 until well after Christmas on January 1st, 2023. It’s free to stop by and enjoy the show, but as a way of giving back, the Griswold house is accepting donations in support of SickKids.
Where: 2176 Devlin Drive, Burlington
This Oakville home is a sight worth seeing every holiday season. The display raises money for several charities throughout the season, including Light House for Grieving Children, OPNC, and Kerr Street Mission.
The lights are on now until January 3rd, 2023. You can see them from 4 PM to 10 PM Sunday through Thursday and until 11 PM on weekends.
