The world’s largest escape room is hiding in an Ontario underground bunker

Did you know the world’s largest escape room is right here in Ontario? Nobody really talks about it because nobody escapes. Kidding, but this escape room is unlike any other you’ve tried!

In fact, it’s unlike any escape room out there, because its original purpose was to protect Canada’s most key figures during a nuclear attack. Seriously!

Located 75 feet underground, Diefenbunker is a massive four-level underground bunker, built between 1959 and 1961.

It’s a Cold War museum that was once top secret, designed to withstand nuclear destruction.

Diefenbunker is a fascinating relic of Canada’s past, but it’s also a unique place to unleash your inner escape artist.

The award-winning escape room is 25,000 square feet and spans an entire floor of the massive bunker.

There are two different challenges you can try — Covert Ops and Radioactive.

Covert Ops is the original mission of the escape room.

To beat the game, you and up to 11 of your closest friends must intercept an imminent nuclear attack from an enemy spy camp.

For Radioactive, you’ll be descending into Diefenbunker’s deepest depths and attempting to outsmart a supercomputer as a radioactive event threatens to end it all.

The description alone has our hearts pumping!

You’ll only have 60 minutes to complete both challenges, so be sure to choose your teammates wisely because there’s no time to waste.

Think you have what it takes to make it out of the world’s largest escape room?

Then head on down into the Diefenbunker and your skills to the test.
