Now that fall is officially just days away it’s time to start thinking about pumpkins. That being said, Skagit Valley’s farmers and hobbyists have been thinking about pumpkins for months already. And you know what that means? The Skagit Valley Giant Pumpkin Festival, it’s happening tomorrow and you don’t want to miss it.
Honestly, who can resist seeing a massive pumpkin? They’re the fruits of farmers and hobbyist’s hard labor and they’re just fun to look at. If you agree then a trip to the in-person festival is in order. You’ll get to watch as pumpkin and oversized veggie-growing hobbyists exhibit their hard work and compete in a weigh-off.

The winners of various pumpkin competitions can win between $25-$1500 so expect people to go big, literally. Obviously, the main attraction is seeing these massive veggies but you’ll also be able to enjoy some family-friendly activities like a hay maze, face painting, eats, and even some bluegrass music. There’s something for everyone making it the perfect Saturday activity.
