The Seattle Deconstructed Art Fair returns for a second year this August

If you’re into the arts then chances are that you know about the Seattle Art Fair. Obviously, because of the pandemic, it hasn’t happened in a year and won’t be happening again until 2022. So in its place, art lovers can enjoy an even cooler fair known as Seattle Deconstructed Art Fair for the second year in a row.

The Deconstructed Art Fair is the substitute for the larger fair which draws local, national, and international galleries. But what makes it extra cool is that it allows for smaller and local galleries to get a larger audience. In fact, this year there are over 50 galleries participating and you can visit them all on your own time online and in-person from August 5th-31st.

To kick things off you’ll be able to enjoy the official return of the First Thursday Artwalk on August 5th from 6 pm-8 pm in Pioneer Square and Downtown. During that walk, you’ll be able to check out tons of galleries in the area and who knows, you might just end up taking a piece home. But if you’d rather wait and check it out on your own you can go as near or as far as Pioneer Square, Georgetown, Capitol Hill, Kirkland, Whidbey Island, and even Edison, WA.

Because you have a month to check out this art fair you have plenty of time to see as much or as little art as you want. Keep in mind if you are visiting galleries in person that each gallery will have its own COVID-19 protocols. So with that in mind, keep your masks with you. Get out there and see some art and if you want to check out all of the participating galleries you can click below.
