Magical ballet to come to life onstage in Vancouver just in time for the holidays

Great news, ballet lovers! The Nutcracker by Goh Ballet is returning to Vancouver this December, and tickets are on sale now.

Queen Elizabeth Theatre will once again transform into the Sugar Plum Fairy’s magical kingdom, complete with glittering costumes, hand-painted sets, and memorable characters like the notorious Mouse King. If it’s been a while since you’ve seen a rendition of the iconic holiday tale, we can’t recommend it enough.

The globally acclaimed production features principal dancers from the Royal Danish Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and The National Ballet of China, performing alongside dancers from 11 countries, including the UK, Australia, Brazil, and Japan.

With 312 dancers total, this year’s production features the ballet’s largest international cast to date – and they’re shaking up traditional gender roles this holiday season.

The renowned Vancouver Opera Orchestra will provide the nostalgic soundtrack to the ballet as the story unfolds onstage.

“Last year’s production gave us Canada’s first Clara of South Asian descent, and I’m excited to be bringing even more inclusivity and innovation to this 13th season of The Nutcracker,” says Chan Hon Goh C.M., D.Litt, the show’s Executive Producer.

Tickets are priced starting at $28 per person and can be purchased online.
