Hakuna Matata! Disney’s ‘The Lion King’ is coming to Edmonton

There are very few people who didn’t grow up watching, loving, and then rewatching Disney’s ‘The Lion King.’

A heartwarming story about love, loss, responsibility and friendship, this movie helped raise many of us and soon, you’ll be able to see it LIVE!

Broadway Across Canada has announced that the on-stage adaption of the classic film will be rolling into Edmonton and you are not going to want to hesitate to get tickets.

Seen by over 112 million people in the 25 years since its debut, The Lion King has won 6 Tony Awards and has been translated into 9 different languages.

Not only does it feature Elton John and Tim Rice’s songs from the animated film, but it will also introduce first-time audience members to additional music by Lebo M, Mark Mancina, Jay Rifkin, Julie Taymor and Hans Zimmer.

Interested? Come summer 2025, you and yours can sing, dance, laugh and cry your way through a new season of incredible performances at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium.

Unfortunately, before you do any grooving, you’ll have to wait to get tickets which will go on sale at a later date.
