The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival is back for its 2nd year with a whole new lineup of A-list comedians

Last August, Trixstar, the Alberta-born event management firm, brought a one-of-a-kind comedy fest to the city in the form of The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival. It was two days of belly-aching laughter, foot-tapping beats and a darn good time. Given its enormous success last year, it comes as no surprise that the comedy fest is coming back to Edmonton Exhibition Lands Racetrack Infield for its second year.

The folks at GOCF just dropped their line-up of A-List comedians and let’s just say, the event is going to be straight-up LIT.

You’ll have Amy Schumer headlining Saturday night with her hysterical act. Then you have Stiff Socks Podcast (LIVE) with special guest Pete Davidson, and also featuring Ricky Velez & Maddy Smith on Sunday. And Mind you, they will all make you feel like a nut… you know, ‘cause you’ll crack-up (Get it? No? No one? Okay then!)

Sharing the stage with these comedy legends will be a lot of local comedians who are determined to leave you in splits. As it happens, giving local talent an opportunity to shine isn’t the only thing the festival is doing for the community. Trixstar will actually donate $2 from every ticket sold to the Boyle Street Community Services. Who would’ve thought supporting the community could be this entertaining, eh?

The only thing that could have made the fest any better was if it lasted longer. And well, this year, it sure does. As opposed to its 2-day run last year, the fun goes on for three days this year, from August 12 to August 14 with announcements for the Friday night headliner coming soon!. We know… YAY!

And because no fest is ever complete without a front-lining VIP section, you’ll find a very comfortable one here too. You can book tables of 2, 4 or 6. This is where you sit back and laugh your way through the evening with your friends while relishing the food and drinks served at the table. Oh, and FYI, you can bring your own camp chairs for added comfort.

Frankly, after the way we’ve spent the last couple of years, we could surely use a good dose of laughter. So, head over to the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival website to snag your tickets – they’re on pre-sale RN, and you can use code CURIOCITY for early access!

We’ll see you there YEG!
