The Edmonton Fringe Theatre is back with a summer festival with over 60 shows

Quick- what’s got dozens of shows to check out, indoor and outdoor venues, and will be running for 11 straights day? If you guessed the newest festival from the Edmonton Fringe Theatre, then congrats! The new Together We Fringe series kicks off today, and we’ve got all the info you need.

Together We Fringe will be taking place in 11 different indoor venues, plus 2 outdoor ones. Over the course of the festival, over 60 shows will be available to check out. Naturally, you can expect some tremendous variety.

From a quick browse of the schedule, there’s a ton of stuff to look forward to. We’re talking everything from classic sketch comedy shows to an interpretation of a King Arthur tale and even ‘poetry for people who hate poetry’. Laugh, cry, think, let your mind wander… whatever you want out of your visit, we know that there’s a show for you.

One important note for the festival is that the organizers are going above and beyond provincial health regulations. The main outdoor space, ATB Park, will require timed tickets to enter (we think it’s worth it for the Beer Garden alone). Meanwhile, all indoor venues will require guests to wear face masks, regardless of their vaccination status.

But, we think it’s a small price to pay for some incredible live entertainment. Especially when we’re kicking back with a beer in one hand, a treat in the other, and a show we want to see just minutes from starting. If you feel the same, check out more info below!

Together We Fringe

When: Thursday, August 12th to Sunday, August 22nd
