A Toronto hotel is your one-stop destination for holiday festivities

Is there anything better than a night out during the holidays? The vibes are high, everything feels cozier, and the festive programming makes everything more fun. The Drake, located in the heart of Toronto’s west end, is more than a hotel. The spot also has a fabulous restaurant, a super cool lounge, and, in my opinion, is the ultimate place for a night out in Toronto.

While the programming at The Drake is always changing up, this is what it has going on right now.

The Drake’s Sleigh Bar

The Drake’s Sky Yard rooftop is now a “full-on festive escape” with a holiday pop-up bar and “playful, grown-up winter playground.”

Sip your holiday cocktails, meet new people, and take in the views. Sounds like a sleigh night to me.

When: Running now until Dec. 25
Time: Fridays and Saturdays from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Dinner with a Side of Sounds

Delicious food and live music – the ultimate combo for a great night out.

Chef Daniel Hyam has put together an amazing prix fixe menu and à la carte options, all paired with festive holiday cocktails. Enjoy your bites and eats as a live piano performance delivers some smooth tunes.

When: Running now until Jan. 1
Time: Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., or Fridays and Saturdays from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Drake Brunch

The Drake Hotel’s iconic brunch has been known and loved for many years here in the city, serving great food and show-stopping performances.

Known as the brunch Queen of Toronto, Miss Moço hosts the Saturday brunch with rotating weekly guest performers, surprises, and of course, enough mimosas to keep the vibes extra high.

When: Always on, every Saturday
Timing: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The fun only continues, though.

Tucked beneath the hotel, The Drake Underground offers even more to do. The space features shows from DJs, indie bands, filmmakers, comedians, poets, you name it. Be sure to check out its lineup if you’re ever in search of something to do with friends.

You could also make a mini stay-cation out of it by booking one of The Drake’s hotel rooms. There are 51 beautifully curated art-filled rooms for guests, unlike the typical hotel room you may see in the city.

Happy holidays, Toronto.
