Western Canada’s largest Christmas store is now open for the season in Metro Vancouver

For 21 years, Surrey’s local gardening centre, Potters Nursery, has transformed into the ultimate holiday shopping experience, and this year is no different. In fact, what’s become the largest Christmas store in Western Canada is now officially open for the season, complete with 28,000 square feet of winter wonderland magic.

Christmas trees and decor galore

Visitors can peruse practically endless rows of festive decor, unique gifts, stocking stuffers, puzzles, and games that will make spending time with loved ones over the holidays that much sweeter. You’ll also find designer trees, hand-picked ornaments, and 75 different styles of Christmas stockings to brighten your space this holiday season.

There will also be 25 themed Christmas trees set up around the store to enjoy while you shop.

What’s more, Santa’s Report Card is back, motivating children to showcase all of their pre-holiday accomplishments and chores for Santa. Exclusive to Potters, this tradition is completely free to participate in.

With distinct men’s and women’s zones, areas for British-themed sweets, Canadian-made gourmet food products, and a pet zone, shoppers will have no problem navigating the aisles if there’s something specific they’re looking for.

The gourmet food section will include delicacies like Potters’ best-selling Bacon Ketchup and Dill Pickle Ketchup, hot chocolate in over 40 different flavours, locally made jellies and sauces, and everyone’s favourite gag gift, “Bags of Poop,” which is really just chocolate-coated toffee.

Magical new displays

This year’s new front-entrance display, Polar Bear Forest, greets shoppers with tall trees adorned with thousands of shimmering crystals and ornaments in white, silver, and gold. Next, they’ll enter the whimsical Fantasyland full of sweets, a dreamscape that transforms cookies, cakes, cotton candy, and donuts into delightful tree ornaments.

Guests can wander through the store into the Dark Room, where everything glows. Here, over 40 different nightlights await, alongside a wide selection of water lanterns and LED Infinity Lights that look like two-way mirrors.

Granny’s Attic contains tiny, adorable felt mice and tons of vintage items that light up in the most memorable ways.

Finally, we arrive at Train Town, where Potters has set up an electric train that circles moving carousels, an elevated Santa, and mini skating rinks and ski lifts. It’s adorable to view, and even more adorable to take one home.

When is the store open?

Now open daily through Dec. 24, Potters’ festive store will operate from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and until 7 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays.
