Hello folks! Summer is in full swing and a great way to enjoy it is by visiting some of the fun U-Pick farms around Edmonton. After all, what’s better than some fresh air and fresh fruits and berries afterward? Take ’em to a picnic, bake a pie… whatever! You’ll be happy you did.
Here are 5 great U-Pick farms around Edmonton to visit this summer.
One of the closest to the city, Horse Hill Berry Farm offers 10 acres of glorious raspberries for you to dive into. With the season running from mid-July to mid-August, this is a great option for a quick little visit on a sunny afternoon.

If strawberries are more your speed, there are a couple of spots that you can check out. First up is Strawberry Fields, a relative newcomer having only opened in 2014. But, ever since, this family-run farm has been offering delicious strawberries at great prices. Heads up- visits are currently by appointment only!

The Big Rock Berry Farm offers a variety of fruits and berries, but it’s the strawberries that can be picked by you! Like Strawberry Fields, visits to Big Rock Berry Farm are currently by appointment only. So, pick a nice sunny morning, and go do some exploring!

How about some saskatoon berries? We suggest checking out the family-owned Grove Berry Patch. They’re open from until August, but phone ahead to check in on that day’s availability!

While it’s primarily a home & garden centre, Creekside doubles as a u-pick farm as well! What’s more, they’ve got a wide variety of berries to choose from, including strawberries, raspberries, black currants among others.
