The Beach Boys are set to perform at the Grey Eagle in Calgary this summer

Calgary is getting a full-on throwback moment this summer! One of the most iconic bands is set to perform at the Grey Eagle Event Centre this August, bringing a setlist that basically lives in everyone’s memory, whether you realize it or not.

From “Good Vibrations” to “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” this is the kind of catalogue that doesn’t need much explaining. You’ve most likely heard these songs in movies, on the radio, and everywhere in between.

About the concert

Mark your calendars, because it’s all going down on Monday, Aug. 24, at the Grey Eagle Event Centre. It’s an all-ages event, so feel free to bring the whole family!

According to the Grey Eagle, the concert will be celebrating 60 years of the band’s iconic Pet Sounds album — one of the most influential records in music history. That milestone alone makes this stop in Calgary feel a little extra special, especially for longtime fans who’ve grown up with these songs playing in the background of their lives.

Tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, May 6, at 8 a.m., with prices starting at $69.50 plus fees. Tickets are expected to move quickly, so if you’re thinking about going, it’s best to secure your tickets early. Additionally, if you’re looking to skip the stress of fighting for a spot, reserved seating options are available.

If there was ever a concert that was made for singing loudly and pretending you’re in a movie montage, this is it. Whether you’re going for the nostalgia, the vibes, or just looking for something different to do in the city this summer, it’ll easily become one of those nights that you don’t forget. And don’t be surprised if you leave with a few songs stuck in your head for the rest of the week!
