Vancouver’s FREE Taiwanese festival to celebrate Canada Day with non-stop performances

With Canada Day festivities rapidly approaching, we thought we’d go ahead and add another fantastic community event to your radar. The Taiwanese Canadian Cultural Festival (TCCF) is kicking off Canada Day in Vancouver this year with over 20 non-stop Taiwanese and Canadian performances and a host of free outdoor activities!

Debuting its first double stage this year, the free community fest will commence on June 29th, with plenty of performing artists to check out. This is part of a three-day ‘outdoor art and cultural carnival’ held in the Vancouver Art Gallery North Plaza and Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza, according to the festival’s website.

Performing groups from both Taiwan and Canada will showcase upbeat music and dance performances at the main venue, including “MAD Theatre” and “Taichung Hoping Elementary School Dance Troupe” from Taiwan’s Taichung City and internationally renowned “Taipei First Girls High School Marching Band.”

18 Canadian groups will also take the stage, showcasing musical styles from classical and jazz to Disney soundtracks.

Visitors can also check out Taiwanese art exhibits, food booths, and free clinic consultations.
