Surrey’s Holiday Lights is a dazzling new light and music festival happening now

Don’t know if you’ve caught on the vibe yet or not, but we for one are on the hunt for all possible ways to make up for the last two locked-in holiday seasons. And making its way into our list of ‘absolutely musts’ is the Surrey Holiday Lights, a light and music fest that’ll take over the Civic Plaza come November 25.

Surrey Holiday Lights is not your run-of-the-mill showcase of some lights but a beautiful, immersive journey into Christmas wonderland. Of course, there will be creative light arrangements including tunnels, interactive areas and displays. But there’s also going to be a lot more like the animatronic exhibits.

In fact, there’s a whole tent dedicated to animatronic exhibits. They’re calling it the Dazzling Holiday Tent and it sure is dazzling. You’ll catch iconic Christmas scenes here including Santa and His Elves, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, Holiday House and Santa’s Workshop.

As we mentioned earlier, Surrey Holiday Lights is also a music fest and you’ll see the musical magic unfold on the two stages. While you’ll find carollers and local artists performing on the Snowflake Stage (that’s the one next to the 60′ feet tall Christmas tree), it’s the North Pole Stage that holds the highlight of the event (for us, at least). Say hello to The Christmas Musical. Nothing like a great musical to get us in the holiday spirit, right?

Once you’ve soaked in all the festive fun, head over to grab a bite from one of the food trucks at Enchanted Eats. You’ll find all festival food truck faves here.. And ’cause no winter holiday fest is complete without a steamy cup of hot chocolate or a nice warm-inducing mug of coffee, you’ll find gourmet hot chocolate and special coffees too. Oh, and not to forget the craft beers and coolers for the big kids at heart.
