There’s a new craft taphouse at the Calgary Airport and here’s where to find it

Waiting for your flight just got a whole lot tastier. 

Next time you’re hanging around the Calgary International Airport, you might notice a new addition near the B Gates. Say hello to Summit House, a brand-new taphouse experience brought to you in partnership with Banded Peak Brewing.

If you’re a craft beer aficionado, you might recognize that name.

Banded Peak was founded in Calgary back in 2016 and has quickly become one of the city’s renowned local craft breweries. Now you can savour some smooth sipping while you whittle away the hours before your flight. 

You might even arrive at the airport extra early on purpose!

Enjoy over a half dozen of Banded Peak Brewing’s award-winning craft beers on draft, including favourites like Microburst Hazy IPA, Mount Crushmore Pilsner, and the acclaimed Summit Seeker Amber IPA.

In addition to its extensive craft beer selection, Summit House provides a full bar experience with a variety of bottled and canned brews, wine, cocktails, and spirits along with an all-day menu of travellers’ favourite comfort foods.

This new addition is part of The Calgary Airport Authority’s ongoing mission to spruce up the food selection and support local brands while giving them exposure to travellers.

Summit House joins a local lineup of Flames Grill and LB Taphouse, all of which celebrate the unique flavour and culture of Calgary. 

So the next time you’ve got a long flight ahead of you, why not unwind at Summit House? 

Maybe a delicious food coma and a light buzz are just the things you need to actually get some sleep on the plane.
