Vancouver has a summer book sale next month & most titles are $5 or less

Love picking up a couple of new reads at your local fair or book sale? We’ve got great news for you. There’s a huge summer book sale coming to Vancouver this August, with “hundreds” of titles up for grabs.

Best of all? Everything will be available for $5 or less!

The one-day book sale will fill the shelves of the Vancouver Writers Fest on Granville Island with non-fiction, fiction, poetry, YA, and children’s titles. This includes a handful of signed copies in stock!

The sale is part of the annual Vancouver Writers Festival – one of the largest literary festivals in North America.

Every year, tens of thousands of reading enthusiasts visit Granville Island and venues across the city to connect with local and international authors over the course of one week, with dozens of free and paid events to check out.

In honour of the festival’s 35th anniversary, most books will be priced at either $3 or $5 during the summer book sale, according to organizers. this includes paperbacks, kids’ books, and hardcovers.

Note that the sale accepts cash and credit – though the latter is preferred. The sale will take place from 10 am to 2 pm on Tuesday, August 6th in the parking lot next to Festival House on Granville Island.

Entry to the summer book sale is free and open to all.
