It might not feel like it at the moment, but the season of food and music festivals is just around the corner, with Low Tide Properties once again throwing a free summer series in Vancouver. This includes the 2024 Strathcona Blocks Party, which will kick off the festivities later this month!
The free block party will take over the 600 to 900 blocks of East Hastings, celebrating the vibrant community of Strathcona with an array of local artisans, food trucks, and performing artists.
Visitors can check out an open-air market curated by Made in the 604, hang out at a beer garden (at 895 East Hastings), and dance to a full day of live music.

Food trucks will be located throughout the festival and at 643 East Hastings, where Eden Cafe will host a community BBQ from 10 am to 2 pm.
Currently, participating food truck vendors include Shameless Buns, Ay! Mamacita, Mama’s Fish & Chips, Good Dogs Plant Foods, and Nami.
Visitors can play outdoor games at the skateboard ramp on Campbell Avenue, and explore fun giveaways, discounts, and activiations from participating businesses.
Finally, new this year is the Strathcona Passport, which will encourage block party attendees to visit participating locations for a sticker or stamp. Those who collect them all will be entered to win a ‘Strathcona prize package,’ according to organizers!
Now in its third year, the Strathcona Block Party will take place on Saturday, June 22nd from noon to 5 pm this year. So mark your calendars!
