In a recent episode, the comedian shared details about the crime and who he believed could be behind it.

“So far, police have no leads on who the culprits could possibly be,” he joked.

“College students. It was college students, okay? Just go to the nearest college I promise you.”

According to Colbert and BBC who was referenced in the segment, the public is asked to keep an eye out for the 12 ft bear, which “shouldn’t be hard to find because it was totally stolen by college students.”

This, of course, is unfounded, but someone out has to have answers.

If you have any information please contact the Redwater RCMP. Alternatively, If you would prefer to remain anonymous you can also contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
